Interval running is a discipline that combines maximum effort sprinting and and equal distance of walking for recovery. Each Interval workout will be defined as # of reps x distance. For instance “8 x 35 yard intervals” means athletes will sprint 35 yards and then walk back 35 yard to where they started. Athletes will repeat this 8 times. Athletes should focus on:

  • Maximum effort sprinting
  • Run through the full yardage then decelerate
  • Walk at a brisk pace
  • Begin next sprint as soon as you return to starting line.
